Narrative:
The existence of the main bang near sli contributed to a loss of separation at 5000 ft over disneyland. If the aircraft's data tag had not disappeared from my radar display, I believe this situation would not have occurred.

Title: SCT CTLR INVOLVED IN OPERROR BELIEVING SIT CAUSED BY DROPPED DATA TAG OVER RADAR MAIN BANG.
Narrative: THE EXISTENCE OF THE MAIN BANG NEAR SLI CONTRIBUTED TO A LOSS OF SEPARATION AT 5000 FT OVER DISNEYLAND. IF THE ACFT'S DATA TAG HAD NOT DISAPPEARED FROM MY RADAR DISPLAY, I BELIEVE THIS SIT WOULD NOT HAVE OCCURRED.
