Narrative:
Flight being flown from hamilton yhm to pittsburgh pit on may/xa/00. Our autoplt was deferred and my first officer was flying. My altimeter was reading 70 ft lower than his altimeter. He was having a difficult time maintaining altitude and reached 10300 ft on my altimeter before I said something and center said something. In the future I will more closely monitor my first officer's and say something sooner.
