Narrative:

During climb out from tpa at approximately 7000 ft MSL, the start valve open light for the #1 engine illuminated. As the first officer, I continued flying the aircraft while the captain ran the QRH procedures and coordinated with ATC for an emergency return. Upon completion of the procedures, the captain took control of the aircraft and flew a single engine heavy weight ILS to a full stop and taxied back to the gate without further incident.
