Narrative:

Airlines flight may/xa/00 from abq-dal on the bowie 5 arrival. Approach control gave a descent from 12000 ft to 10000 ft. I read back the clearance and set 10000 ft in the autoplt MCP altitude window and the first officer descended to 10000 ft. 30 seconds later, approach control said our clearance was to 11000 ft. I replied that our clearance was to 10000 ft and that was what I acknowledged. The first officer climbed to 11000 ft and I noted there were no aircraft on the TCASII scope that presented a conflict with our flight path or altitude. The controller did not contest my statement concerning the descent clearance or ask me to call the approach control facility after landing.
