Title: AN MD83 CAPT RPTED AN UNSAFE NOSE GEAR INDICATION WHILE ON APCH TO LAX. THE GEAR WAS THEN MANUALLY LOWERED, BUT THIS DID NOT CLR THE UNSAFE INDICATION. THEY LANDED WITHOUT INCIDENT AT LAX, STOPPED ON THE RWY AND HAD THE GEAR PINNED, THEN TAXIED TO THE GATE.
