Narrative:

An air carrier flight on apr/xa/00 left den airport. Just at reaching cruise altitude, we had smoke and fumes in the cockpit and cabin. Not electrical, more like oil burning and getting in the air conditioning system. We followed procedures for that condition, declared an emergency and made an uneventful landing back at den. Supplemental information from acn 470298: with no remaining interior smoke and no exterior problems, the flight taxied to the gate. The crew reported to medical. The aircraft was taken OTS for 2 days while the APU was replaced and oil was removed from the air conditioning system.
