Narrative:

Pressurization system had been written up on mar/xa/00. It was properly written up and we had 10 days before needed maintenance. We had thought that the plane became grounded at XA00 apr/xb/00 and unfortunately it became grounded on apr/xa/00. The company had the same thought process as well, so no flags arose on the night of apr/xa/00. We called maintenance the night of apr/xb/00 and told them that we thought the plane needed maintenance at the end of the night, but they told us to go on and take it home, so we did. We simply made a miscalculation on our 10 days and did not mean to overfly the MEL.
