Narrative:

On mar/xa/00 at approximately XA15, I was involved in a landing incident at hicks (T67), saginaw, tx. To familiarize myself with the M20K-262, I was in the left seat. On final for runway 14, I was following the PIC on the controls. Winds at this time were 210 degrees at 8 KTS. As we neared the threshold, a train was crossing on the tracks that cross on the north end of the field. As we transitioned over the moving train, I made a control input to the yoke in response to the air turbulence created by the train. This action upset the stabilized crosswind approach that had been set up. I continued making control inputs (including chopping power). As a result, the airplane came down hard on the right main gear and began to porpoise. North the second bounce, the PIC called for a go around. He then told me to get clear of the controls. The PIC went around in the pattern and landed safety. The result of the first bounced landing was a scrape of the right inner gear door. At the present time, although no damage estimate has been formalized, the damage appears to be less than $200.

Title: PLT OF A MOONEY M20 LOST CTL OF THE ACFT DURING LNDG AND HIT HARD ON THE R GEAR RESULTING IN BOUNCING AND THE PIC TAKING OVER TO MAKE A GAR. ACFT RECEIVED MINOR DAMAGE TO THE R GEAR DOOR WHEEL COVER.

Narrative: ON MAR/XA/00 AT APPROX XA15, I WAS INVOLVED IN A LNDG INCIDENT AT HICKS (T67), SAGINAW, TX. TO FAMILIARIZE MYSELF WITH THE M20K-262, I WAS IN THE L SEAT. ON FINAL FOR RWY 14, I WAS FOLLOWING THE PIC ON THE CTLS. WINDS AT THIS TIME WERE 210 DEGS AT 8 KTS. AS WE NEARED THE THRESHOLD, A TRAIN WAS XING ON THE TRACKS THAT CROSS ON THE N END OF THE FIELD. AS WE TRANSITIONED OVER THE MOVING TRAIN, I MADE A CTL INPUT TO THE YOKE IN RESPONSE TO THE AIR TURB CREATED BY THE TRAIN. THIS ACTION UPSET THE STABILIZED XWIND APCH THAT HAD BEEN SET UP. I CONTINUED MAKING CTL INPUTS (INCLUDING CHOPPING PWR). AS A RESULT, THE AIRPLANE CAME DOWN HARD ON THE R MAIN GEAR AND BEGAN TO PORPOISE. N THE SECOND BOUNCE, THE PIC CALLED FOR A GAR. HE THEN TOLD ME TO GET CLR OF THE CTLS. THE PIC WENT AROUND IN THE PATTERN AND LANDED SAFETY. THE RESULT OF THE FIRST BOUNCED LNDG WAS A SCRAPE OF THE R INNER GEAR DOOR. AT THE PRESENT TIME, ALTHOUGH NO DAMAGE ESTIMATE HAS BEEN FORMALIZED, THE DAMAGE APPEARS TO BE LESS THAN $200.
