Narrative:

Aircraft was sent to maintenance hangar for a forward gear door opening in-flight (3RD occurrence). It was determined to change forward gear door actuator. Actuator removed and replaced -- operations of gear system satisfactory. Aircraft flew 1 day. Problem recurred. Aircraft sent to different maintenance base. An alternate gear door release cable was found misrouted. Company said this problem should have been found at actuator remove and replacement. The location of the misrouting was obscured due to engine jet pipe. The maintenance performed was completed by an experienced mechanic. I also have 2 yrs as an inspector.
