Narrative:
Aircraft was on GA ramp between txwys K and Z. Called for taxi clearance and received: 'taxi runway 30L, hold short of runway 30R at taxiway north.' (no route was specified.) left GA ramp via taxiway K with intention of taking taxiway K to runway 17 to runway 31 to taxiway north. Passing taxiway V on taxiway K, ground control said 'where are you going?' then said he had expected us to use taxiway V and runway 31 to taxiway north. This is the second similar occurrence in 3 weeks. From now on I plan to ask for a taxi route if none is specified in the clearance.

Narrative: ACFT WAS ON GA RAMP BTWN TXWYS K AND Z. CALLED FOR TAXI CLRNC AND RECEIVED: 'TAXI RWY 30L, HOLD SHORT OF RWY 30R AT TXWY N.' (NO RTE WAS SPECIFIED.) LEFT GA RAMP VIA TXWY K WITH INTENTION OF TAKING TXWY K TO RWY 17 TO RWY 31 TO TXWY N. PASSING TXWY V ON TXWY K, GND CTL SAID 'WHERE ARE YOU GOING?' THEN SAID HE HAD EXPECTED US TO USE TXWY V AND RWY 31 TO TXWY N. THIS IS THE SECOND SIMILAR OCCURRENCE IN 3 WKS. FROM NOW ON I PLAN TO ASK FOR A TAXI RTE IF NONE IS SPECIFIED IN THE CLRNC.
