Narrative:
Location: black forrest 180 degrees/45 NM. Misunderstood clearance to cross 30 DME south of black forrest at 13000 ft as cross black forrest at 13000 ft. Realizing our mistake and tried to make restr after advising ATC we would be unable to make restr. Controller responded, do what you can. No conflict reported.
