Narrative:
Departed olv VFR to the east. While waiting to pick up IFR flight clearance to hef, we inadvertently climbed through the base of the mem class B floor. This occurred after contacting mem approach and before receiving a clearance. The approach controller advised us that we were in class B but told us to continue our climb.
