Narrative:
On traffic survey, I was requested to enter class B airspace by my reporter. I contacted cleveland approach with my request and understood I was 'cleared to class B airspace' and I was given a transponder code. I read back this transmission and continued following the route I requested. There was a change of controllers and I did not receive my instructions, even as I approached the departure end of the active runway. I maintained visual separation from departing traffic and when I got contact with cleveland approach to discover why I lost communication, I was told I was not cleared into class B airspace. I am confused as to why I received no response to my readback and no further advisory, as I remained on the original frequency. It was a busy morning and it was likely there was a miscom somewhere. I wish I knew exactly when and where it took place. Help.

Narrative: ON TFC SURVEY, I WAS REQUESTED TO ENTER CLASS B AIRSPACE BY MY RPTR. I CONTACTED CLEVELAND APCH WITH MY REQUEST AND UNDERSTOOD I WAS 'CLRED TO CLASS B AIRSPACE' AND I WAS GIVEN A XPONDER CODE. I READ BACK THIS XMISSION AND CONTINUED FOLLOWING THE RTE I REQUESTED. THERE WAS A CHANGE OF CTLRS AND I DID NOT RECEIVE MY INSTRUCTIONS, EVEN AS I APCHED THE DEP END OF THE ACTIVE RWY. I MAINTAINED VISUAL SEPARATION FROM DEPARTING TFC AND WHEN I GOT CONTACT WITH CLEVELAND APCH TO DISCOVER WHY I LOST COM, I WAS TOLD I WAS NOT CLRED INTO CLASS B AIRSPACE. I AM CONFUSED AS TO WHY I RECEIVED NO RESPONSE TO MY READBACK AND NO FURTHER ADVISORY, AS I REMAINED ON THE ORIGINAL FREQ. IT WAS A BUSY MORNING AND IT WAS LIKELY THERE WAS A MISCOM SOMEWHERE. I WISH I KNEW EXACTLY WHEN AND WHERE IT TOOK PLACE. HELP.
