Narrative:
On a recent S80 flight, the autospoilers had been armed prior to landing. Upon touchdown, they made a brief squeaking sound which sounded like normal deployment but the sound was not as lengthy. I glanced at the spoiler handle and observed that it never moved aft as expected, but instead it moved into the disarmed position and remained there. I then reached down and manually moved the handle into the spoiler-deployed position. The first officer also observed the behavior of the spoiler handle and confirmed that it disarmed itself. I do not remember the aircraft number or the flight number.
