Narrative:

I arrived at my aircraft at XA45 to do my usual preflight. I did my preflight by SOP's in our fom. To my knowledge there was nothing wrong with the aircraft. All fasteners were tight. The aircraft was airworthy, ready for flight. During climb out, a passenger tapped me on the shoulder and said a piece of the engine came off. I looked out to see the inner right engine cowling missing. We then headed back to the airport and landed without any other problems.
