Narrative:

I replaced a fuel boost pump referencing the maintenance manual. At shift change the job was not completed. The only thing left was a leak check and cover installation for which I made a logbook entry. When daylight shift came on to pick up the job, it turned out the pump leaked. One person removed the pump for replacement of the o-ring seals and another person installed the pump. The pump did not fix the problem and aircraft continued on MEL. A wiring problem was discovered and repaired and when the boost pump was operations checked, the pump fell out of the wing. The problem is that the daylight crew that took over the job failed to document their removal and replacement of the pump. Now the company is investigating me because I was the last to sign the logbook. The daylight crew felt it was better to say that the pump did not leak and just not create another item for the removal and replacement of the pump and I'm left hanging.
