Narrative:

Inbound to the parking gate at cvg, at abeam gate and sbound on taxiway F, our flight attendant informed the flight crew via interphone that passenger were telling her that smoke was coming out at row 5. At the same time as the aircraft was brought to a stop in the east alley, adjacent to taxiway F and facing gate (away from the terminal), the flight crew opened the cockpit door to evaluate the situation/talk directly with flight attendant. Just prior to this, the flight attendant had gone back to investigate/remove passenger away from smoke area. Flight attendant returned within seconds and told us it was electrical smoke coming out of overhead at row 5. During this time, the flight crew had started/performed emergency evacuate/evacuation checklist so that when flight attendant had returned she was ready to open main cabin door to evacuate/evacuation passenger. (Passenger were ordered to exit from main cabin door only.) crash fire rescue equipment was called by flight crew and nature of event indicated. Crash fire rescue equipment arrived as the last of remaining passenger were deplaning. Aircraft was later towed to gate after being secured by maintenance.
