Narrative:

While performing walkaround on aircraft, found 2 each 1/2-3/4 inch cracks on aircraft right 3 frames behind radome, approximately 9 O'clock position on fuselage skin (non pressurized). Being at departure time, I notified maintenance control of situation and suggested we continue on to our main base (next leg) as no safety risk was there (non pressurized) to which all were in agreement. At the maintenance base the aircraft was repaired. Basically, my judgement should have been to ground the plane, or possibly find limits, etc. Being in an airline environment it is 'go, go, go.'

Title: AN MDT, LOW WING, WITH 2 TURBOJET ENGS WAS DISPATCHED IN NON COMPLIANCE WITH 2 FUSELAGE SKIN CRACKS WITHOUT CONSULTING THE STRUCTURAL REPAIR MANUAL ALLOWABLE LIMITS.

Narrative: WHILE PERFORMING WALKAROUND ON ACFT, FOUND 2 EACH 1/2-3/4 INCH CRACKS ON ACFT R 3 FRAMES BEHIND RADOME, APPROX 9 O'CLOCK POS ON FUSELAGE SKIN (NON PRESSURIZED). BEING AT DEP TIME, I NOTIFIED MAINT CTL OF SIT AND SUGGESTED WE CONTINUE ON TO OUR MAIN BASE (NEXT LEG) AS NO SAFETY RISK WAS THERE (NON PRESSURIZED) TO WHICH ALL WERE IN AGREEMENT. AT THE MAINT BASE THE ACFT WAS REPAIRED. BASICALLY, MY JUDGEMENT SHOULD HAVE BEEN TO GND THE PLANE, OR POSSIBLY FIND LIMITS, ETC. BEING IN AN AIRLINE ENVIRONMENT IT IS 'GO, GO, GO.'
