Narrative:

During takeoff, I noticed a little boy was very upset with the adult that he was with. I saw the aunt slap this boy on the arm because of his behavior. Later in-flight, a passenger asked to file a complaint because of what she had been watching go on. Throughout the flight, all flight attendants took this boy from the aunts and he stayed with us throughout the flight and he was very calm. During our descent, he jumped out of his seat, and I had to jump out of mine and grab him to protect him. Callback conversation with reporter revealed the following information: the reporter stated that during the boarding process, the boy was kicking and screaming at the top of his lungs. His 2 aunts were trying to smother his screams with a pillow over his face. One then proceeded to hit him with her fist to his upper body. She found out that they had come in from lima, peru, and that his mother was meeting them in boston. As the crew started their cocktail service, the boy was out of control, so a steward picked him up and put him on top of the cocktail cart, and he stopped crying. The crew had him assist in their service. When the other passenger wanted to file a child abuse complaint, the crew had no choice and gave them a form. The captain was then obligated to call for the police to meet the flight. On touchdown, the reporter had to leave her jump seat and grab the running boy, and she sat with him in a passenger seat for taxi in. When the police escorted them off the plane, one of the aunts attacked a policeman, so they arrested her on the spot.
