Narrative:

On our flight from cvg to oma, we received a passenger door out handle caution message. We followed the checklist. We asked the flight attendant if all the alignment marks line up. She said the top 2 marks were misaligned. The checklist then calls for a diversion to nearest suitable airport. After finishing the checklist, we landed uneventfully at evv, in. The door stayed shut and this was a precautionary landing.
