Narrative:

Location: sns VOR. We were cruising at altitude and missed a frequency change to ZOA and by the time we were able to contact them we were about 30 mi away from sfo airport. We were vectored around and descended per ATC instructions and landed at sfo without further incident. ZOA contacted ftw dispatch, who then contacted sfo operations to relay the frequency to us, but we never got it. Dispatch did not try to have SELCAL contact us and the MD90 has no ACARS. It seems that SELCAL would be the most effective manner. We attempted to contact bay approach on frequency 134.5 but to no avail.
