Narrative:

Aircraft refueling. While refueling the aircraft, there was no grounding wire between the aircraft and the fueling truck. When challenged, the fueler advised that the hose hook-up from the ground to the aircraft was ok. This is news to me. Callback conversation with reporter revealed the following information: even though the captain requested a company reply, no answer was received. Reporter states that all other stations use fuel truck grounding, even other fuelers at jfk.

Title: EA30 WAS BEING FUELED WITHOUT THE FUEL TRUCK OR ACFT BEING GNDED.

Narrative: ACFT REFUELING. WHILE REFUELING THE ACFT, THERE WAS NO GNDING WIRE BTWN THE ACFT AND THE FUELING TRUCK. WHEN CHALLENGED, THE FUELER ADVISED THAT THE HOSE HOOK-UP FROM THE GND TO THE ACFT WAS OK. THIS IS NEWS TO ME. CALLBACK CONVERSATION WITH RPTR REVEALED THE FOLLOWING INFO: EVEN THOUGH THE CAPT REQUESTED A COMPANY REPLY, NO ANSWER WAS RECEIVED. RPTR STATES THAT ALL OTHER STATIONS USE FUEL TRUCK GNDING, EVEN OTHER FUELERS AT JFK.
