Narrative:

After I computed the takeoff gross weight, prior to beginning taxi, which indicated an overweight takeoff condition, the captain reviewed my calculations. He advised me that, based on a recent revision of the basic operating weight, we did not exceed the maximum takeoff gross weight and amended my calculations.

Title: AN EXTREMELY LOW TIME FO WAS REASSURED BY HIS CAPT THAT HIS GROSS TKOF WT CALCULATIONS, INDICATING AN OVERWT CONDITION EXISTED, WERE ACTUALLY INCORRECT AND THAT THEY WERE WITHIN TOLERANCES.
