Narrative:

We landed at pit and were cleared to taxi to the ramp by the tower. We saw traffic taxiing out from the gates that we knew would be on a taxiway we would have to cross, but we were well ahead of the other aircraft. To be sure they wouldn't be blocked by us, the captain said he taxied faster than normal - not even an uncomfortable speed, just a little faster than normal. As we turned to cross the taxiway that was in question, we had to abruptly stop to avoid a collision. We were cleared while we were on taxiway B5 to taxiway B to the ramp. Taxiway B5 is after we saw the conflicting aircraft just beginning to come up taxiway Y, north. The conflict occurred at taxiway C4/intersection C. This conflict arose due to 2 reasons: 1) primarily lack of communication between tower and ground. (The J31 was under ground control, we were under tower). 2) secondarily, the J31 was taxiing too fast. Like I stated before, we already had distance on the aircraft and the captain tried to safely put more distance between us. When we both stopped, our stop was normal. The J31's stop looked much more abrupt, the aircraft lurched in an exaggerated manner during the stop.

Title: CAPT OF A DORNIER DO328 TAXIING TO PARKING STOPPED QUICKLY TO AVERT A COLLISION WITH A BRITISH JETSTREAM 31 TAXIING OUT WHEN THE 2 ACFT MET AT A TXWY INTXN AT THE SAME TIME. THE JETSTREAM ALSO STOPPED ABRUPTLY.

Narrative: WE LANDED AT PIT AND WERE CLRED TO TAXI TO THE RAMP BY THE TWR. WE SAW TFC TAXIING OUT FROM THE GATES THAT WE KNEW WOULD BE ON A TXWY WE WOULD HAVE TO CROSS, BUT WE WERE WELL AHEAD OF THE OTHER ACFT. TO BE SURE THEY WOULDN'T BE BLOCKED BY US, THE CAPT SAID HE TAXIED FASTER THAN NORMAL - NOT EVEN AN UNCOMFORTABLE SPD, JUST A LITTLE FASTER THAN NORMAL. AS WE TURNED TO CROSS THE TXWY THAT WAS IN QUESTION, WE HAD TO ABRUPTLY STOP TO AVOID A COLLISION. WE WERE CLRED WHILE WE WERE ON TXWY B5 TO TXWY B TO THE RAMP. TXWY B5 IS AFTER WE SAW THE CONFLICTING ACFT JUST BEGINNING TO COME UP TXWY Y, N. THE CONFLICT OCCURRED AT TXWY C4/INTXN C. THIS CONFLICT AROSE DUE TO 2 REASONS: 1) PRIMARILY LACK OF COM BTWN TWR AND GND. (THE J31 WAS UNDER GND CTL, WE WERE UNDER TWR). 2) SECONDARILY, THE J31 WAS TAXIING TOO FAST. LIKE I STATED BEFORE, WE ALREADY HAD DISTANCE ON THE ACFT AND THE CAPT TRIED TO SAFELY PUT MORE DISTANCE BTWN US. WHEN WE BOTH STOPPED, OUR STOP WAS NORMAL. THE J31'S STOP LOOKED MUCH MORE ABRUPT, THE ACFT LURCHED IN AN EXAGGERATED MANNER DURING THE STOP.
