Narrative:

We called lga ground control and requested a clearance to taxi. The controller responded with instructions but was partially blocked. We thought the instructions were for our flight and responded with the readback instructions, then taxied. The controller queried us as to our position and informed us the response was for another aircraft. We explained we thought the instructions were for us. No runway incursions occurred. Comments: radio communications on the ground at lga are often very congested. The system at boston is much better where we contact clearance and are told to monitor ground for taxi instructions.
