Narrative:
While working on an electrical problem during cruise, the crew missed radio call from ZTL. Once re-established radio contact, center advised that they diverted traffic.

Title: MD80 CREW DISTR BY ELECTRICAL PROB MISSES RADIO CALLS RESULTING IN ARTCC HAVING TO DEVIATE OTHER TFC.
Narrative: WHILE WORKING ON AN ELECTRICAL PROB DURING CRUISE, THE CREW MISSED RADIO CALL FROM ZTL. ONCE RE-ESTABLISHED RADIO CONTACT, CTR ADVISED THAT THEY DIVERTED TFC.
