Narrative:

Landed on runway 21C dtw. Ground controller instructed us to taxi, 'txwys F, north, to the ramp.' taxiing up taxiway F, we missed the inactive runway 9L/27R (taxiway north during construction). Ground controller caught our mistake and cleared us to taxi via taxiway V. We missed the note on the taxi chart that explains runway 9L/27R is now taxiway north. Also with both pilots looking (aware there is a problem with taxiing on dtw airport) we missed any signs that might have shown us taxiway north. I'm not sure there were any until after passing taxiway north. We need clearly marked txwys and well defined routes for dtw. It would benefit both controllers and pilots.

Title: ACR CREW MISSES TXWY TURN BECAUSE OF CHART AND ARPT MARKING CONFUSION.

Narrative: LANDED ON RWY 21C DTW. GND CTLR INSTRUCTED US TO TAXI, 'TXWYS F, N, TO THE RAMP.' TAXIING UP TXWY F, WE MISSED THE INACTIVE RWY 9L/27R (TXWY N DURING CONSTRUCTION). GND CTLR CAUGHT OUR MISTAKE AND CLRED US TO TAXI VIA TXWY V. WE MISSED THE NOTE ON THE TAXI CHART THAT EXPLAINS RWY 9L/27R IS NOW TXWY N. ALSO WITH BOTH PLTS LOOKING (AWARE THERE IS A PROB WITH TAXIING ON DTW ARPT) WE MISSED ANY SIGNS THAT MIGHT HAVE SHOWN US TXWY N. I'M NOT SURE THERE WERE ANY UNTIL AFTER PASSING TXWY N. WE NEED CLRLY MARKED TXWYS AND WELL DEFINED ROUTES FOR DTW. IT WOULD BENEFIT BOTH CTLRS AND PLTS.
