Narrative:
Aircraft approaching fwa on J149, cleared for gsh 3 arrival. PF begins briefing for gsh 3 arrival. PF begins briefing for approach into mdw, and turns aircraft to the 270 degree radial, which is the outbound for gsh not fwa. We were approximately 8 NM west of course. We realized navigation error simultaneously with ATC and corrected. No conflict with any other aircraft. Flight continued uneventfully. In the future, I will make it a point not to brief approach near a NAVAID.
