Narrative:

Captain/lca was flying. During approach into atl, we were issued vectors for WX that moved over field. With very short notice, we were issued holding instructions, 'direct pdk, hold northeast on 020 degree radial, r-hand turns, 15 mi legs.' the captain confirmed the clearance. We set up raw data for the hold as we continued for pdk. The captain asked me to put the holding pattern in the FMS. As I was typing in holding instructions, ATC asked, 'where are you going?' we had turned the wrong direction. ATC had us continue turning and vectors were given for approach. Nothing else was said to us about our mistake. I don't believe that any problem with separation occurred.
