Narrative:

Training flight. Helping student identify pirro intersection by visual (night) reference (glowing incinerators on landfill). Made course reversal to put point on student's side of aircraft. Observed light of passing aircraft. Made left turn to pass behind. First observed aircraft at 10 O'clock position during left turn. Continued turn to left to pass aft of aircraft. Better outside scan. Also senecas do not have landing lights mounted on wings. When gear is retracted, landing lights are in the wheel well.
