Narrative:
Vector by new york approach through jfk, ewr class B airspace. Cleared into class B en route to N07 airport, nj. Controller advised to call cdw airport tower for transition through cdw class D airspace. Controller does this when aircraft is already in cdw class D, 3 1/2 - 4 mi abeam. Advised cdw controller that new york approach usually calls the tower itself, but did not this time. In the future, will verify transit class D clearance before entering with approach control.

Title: CPR C172 BEING VECTORED THROUGH EWR CLASS B AIRSPACE INADVERTENTLY VIOLATES CDW CLASS D AIRSPACE PRIOR TO RECEIVING CLRNC.
Narrative: VECTOR BY NEW YORK APCH THROUGH JFK, EWR CLASS B AIRSPACE. CLRED INTO CLASS B ENRTE TO N07 ARPT, NJ. CTLR ADVISED TO CALL CDW ARPT TWR FOR TRANSITION THROUGH CDW CLASS D AIRSPACE. CTLR DOES THIS WHEN ACFT IS ALREADY IN CDW CLASS D, 3 1/2 - 4 MI ABEAM. ADVISED CDW CTLR THAT NEW YORK APCH USUALLY CALLS THE TWR ITSELF, BUT DID NOT THIS TIME. IN THE FUTURE, WILL VERIFY TRANSIT CLASS D CLRNC BEFORE ENTERING WITH APCH CTL.
