Narrative:
Airbus A320, at GS intercept, went to flaps 3 degrees. A sudden wind gust caused the aircraft to accelerate rapidly and faster than the autoplt or autothrottles could respond -- and despite disengaging the autoplt. Raising the pitch and retarding the throttles to idle. We continued to increase speed to the point that flaps 3 degree limit speed was exceeded by 304 KTS for 2-3 seconds. There was no corresponding windshear-like decrease in airspeed. The flight continued to a normal landing. ATIS winds were 050 degrees at 15 KTS gusting to 24 KTS. This incident was inadvertent. Follow-up with maintenance indicated no aircraft damage. I feel that our training is adequate to cover most sits like this.

Title: CAPT OF AN AIRBUS A320 EXCEEDED THE ACFT FLAP SPD LIMITATION DURING APCH DUE TO ENTERING A WINDSHEAR CONDITION.
Narrative: AIRBUS A320, AT GS INTERCEPT, WENT TO FLAPS 3 DEGS. A SUDDEN WIND GUST CAUSED THE ACFT TO ACCELERATE RAPIDLY AND FASTER THAN THE AUTOPLT OR AUTOTHROTTLES COULD RESPOND -- AND DESPITE DISENGAGING THE AUTOPLT. RAISING THE PITCH AND RETARDING THE THROTTLES TO IDLE. WE CONTINUED TO INCREASE SPD TO THE POINT THAT FLAPS 3 DEG LIMIT SPD WAS EXCEEDED BY 304 KTS FOR 2-3 SECONDS. THERE WAS NO CORRESPONDING WINDSHEAR-LIKE DECREASE IN AIRSPD. THE FLT CONTINUED TO A NORMAL LNDG. ATIS WINDS WERE 050 DEGS AT 15 KTS GUSTING TO 24 KTS. THIS INCIDENT WAS INADVERTENT. FOLLOW-UP WITH MAINT INDICATED NO ACFT DAMAGE. I FEEL THAT OUR TRAINING IS ADEQUATE TO COVER MOST SITS LIKE THIS.
