Narrative:

While shut down at a remote location on the airport, I inadvertently deployed the forward entry door escape slide. This occurred following a WX/fuel divert on a flight from bos-dtw to lan. In an effort to aid the ground personnel, I tried to accomplish too much myself while other crew members were also involved with their duties. Obviously, I forgot the cabin door was armed as a result of our location off the gate (per regulations) and opened the door without thinking. I accept full responsibility for this incident. Duty length of over 13 hours, however, I have no excuse for not thinking prior to my actions.
