Narrative:

On radar vectors to join runway 27 localizer iah. Approach control very busy -- thunderstorms and talking very fast. I was cleared to join localizer, then, at the end of the clearance, very fast, he said 'going below TCA floor, no traffic observed.' I immediately checked the commercial chart page 10-1A and saw that I was not below the floor. This causes a lot of anxiety right when you are busy. This is a common and recurring problem landing at iah.

Title: A B777 FO, PF INTO IAH, WAS TOLD BY APCH THAT HE WAS GOING BELOW THE TCA FLOOR. THE FO CHKED HIS CHART AND ASSERTS THAT HE DID NOT EXIT CLASS B AIRSPACE.

I WAS CLRED TO JOIN LOC, THEN, AT THE END OF THE CLRNC, VERY FAST, HE SAID 'GOING BELOW TCA FLOOR, NO TFC OBSERVED.' I IMMEDIATELY CHKED THE COMMERCIAL CHART PAGE 10-1A AND SAW THAT I WAS NOT BELOW THE FLOOR. THIS CAUSES A LOT OF ANXIETY RIGHT WHEN YOU ARE BUSY. THIS IS A COMMON AND RECURRING PROB LNDG AT IAH.
