Narrative:

Departed clt for lyh, runway 36L. After takeoff, turned to heading 310 degrees. At 500 ft, tower said he gave us runway heading. Both pilots had 310 degrees set in directional gyro. Controller said he gave us runway heading and I (PF) turned to 360 degrees and nothing else was said. Thereafter switched to departure frequency.

Narrative: DEPARTED CLT FOR LYH, RWY 36L. AFTER TKOF, TURNED TO HDG 310 DEGS. AT 500 FT, TWR SAID HE GAVE US RWY HDG. BOTH PLTS HAD 310 DEGS SET IN DIRECTIONAL GYRO. CTLR SAID HE GAVE US RWY HDG AND I (PF) TURNED TO 360 DEGS AND NOTHING ELSE WAS SAID. THEREAFTER SWITCHED TO DEP FREQ.
