Dfw, flying the cedar creek arrival, given 11000 ft at tacke. When it became evident we would be unable to make the restr, we advised the approach controller. Due to multiple aircraft on frequency, we were unable to get a response. Phone contact on the ground confirmed there was no conflict.

Narrative: DFW, FLYING THE CEDAR CREEK ARR, GIVEN 11000 FT AT TACKE. WHEN IT BECAME EVIDENT WE WOULD BE UNABLE TO MAKE THE RESTR, WE ADVISED THE APCH CTLR. DUE TO MULTIPLE ACFT ON FREQ, WE WERE UNABLE TO GET A RESPONSE. PHONE CONTACT ON THE GND CONFIRMED THERE WAS NO CONFLICT.
