Narrative:
Upon gear retraction after takeoff, the nose gear light remained on and the nose gear failed to retract. Appropriate checklists were completed and the flight returned for a normal landing with 3 safe gear indications. Postflt inspection revealed the nose gear pin still in place.

Title: A B737-300 IMMEDIATELY AFTER TKOF DECLARED AN EMER AND RETURNED TO THE FIELD DUE TO UNABLE TO RETRACT THE NOSE LNDG GEAR CAUSED BY A GEAR PIN STILL INSTALLED.
Narrative: UPON GEAR RETRACTION AFTER TKOF, THE NOSE GEAR LIGHT REMAINED ON AND THE NOSE GEAR FAILED TO RETRACT. APPROPRIATE CHKLISTS WERE COMPLETED AND THE FLT RETURNED FOR A NORMAL LNDG WITH 3 SAFE GEAR INDICATIONS. POSTFLT INSPECTION REVEALED THE NOSE GEAR PIN STILL IN PLACE.
