Narrative:

I was waiting to take the active runway. The airport is uncontrolled and very busy. 2 small planes were on final, when a low wing (piper?) airplane tried to cut in line and take off. He stopped before entering. I got rattled watching this and lost track of the inbound aircraft. After the next plane landed, I thought there was a gap big enough for me to take off. However, there was a plane on short final, blocked by the wing of my airplane. I announced my intentions as I pulled on the runway. He yelled for me to get off the runway. I got out of the way as quickly as possible. He landed with no apparent trouble. Once he landed, I apologized over the radio. I allowed another person to upset my concentration, and let myself get in a hurry to get airborne. Next time, I'll let the other person go ahead or just wait a bit longer. There was no room to spin and look.
