Narrative:

After landing at msn, being unfamiliar with the airport and at night, I asked for a progressive. The sole controller on duty was working both tower and ground. He was busy, harassed, impatient and angry. He directed me to taxi down runway 13 (I had landed on runway 36) which was lit and active and exit at taxiway B2. When I did this, and made several calls for further instruction, he angrily yelled to taxi straight ahead 'to' the ramp and questioned my intelligence if not my ancestry. 'Follow the ramp sign.' this I did until I reached a dead end allowing a turn either right or left. I went to the left (north) because the airport beacon was there and I could see parked planes. Taxiing to the beacon, I crossed an unlit and unmarked runway. I was never aware of it in the dark. The FBO at the beacon was closed and when I called ground to ask for instructions, the same controller angrily asked me how I got there. When I replied that I was following his instructions, he told me that I had taxied across a runway (he had not seen me do it) and 'if it had been active' I could have caused an accident, that I was a disaster, etc, etc, and he never wanted to hear from me again. He then directed me to taxi to the south ramp but did not give me directions except a shouted 'go back the way you came.' in so doing, I crossed back across the same runway which I never saw again in the dark.

Title: MO20 PLT HAD RWY INCURSION.

Narrative: AFTER LNDG AT MSN, BEING UNFAMILIAR WITH THE ARPT AND AT NIGHT, I ASKED FOR A PROGRESSIVE. THE SOLE CTLR ON DUTY WAS WORKING BOTH TWR AND GND. HE WAS BUSY, HARASSED, IMPATIENT AND ANGRY. HE DIRECTED ME TO TAXI DOWN RWY 13 (I HAD LANDED ON RWY 36) WHICH WAS LIT AND ACTIVE AND EXIT AT TXWY B2. WHEN I DID THIS, AND MADE SEVERAL CALLS FOR FURTHER INSTRUCTION, HE ANGRILY YELLED TO TAXI STRAIGHT AHEAD 'TO' THE RAMP AND QUESTIONED MY INTELLIGENCE IF NOT MY ANCESTRY. 'FOLLOW THE RAMP SIGN.' THIS I DID UNTIL I REACHED A DEAD END ALLOWING A TURN EITHER R OR L. I WENT TO THE L (N) BECAUSE THE ARPT BEACON WAS THERE AND I COULD SEE PARKED PLANES. TAXIING TO THE BEACON, I CROSSED AN UNLIT AND UNMARKED RWY. I WAS NEVER AWARE OF IT IN THE DARK. THE FBO AT THE BEACON WAS CLOSED AND WHEN I CALLED GND TO ASK FOR INSTRUCTIONS, THE SAME CTLR ANGRILY ASKED ME HOW I GOT THERE. WHEN I REPLIED THAT I WAS FOLLOWING HIS INSTRUCTIONS, HE TOLD ME THAT I HAD TAXIED ACROSS A RWY (HE HAD NOT SEEN ME DO IT) AND 'IF IT HAD BEEN ACTIVE' I COULD HAVE CAUSED AN ACCIDENT, THAT I WAS A DISASTER, ETC, ETC, AND HE NEVER WANTED TO HEAR FROM ME AGAIN. HE THEN DIRECTED ME TO TAXI TO THE S RAMP BUT DID NOT GIVE ME DIRECTIONS EXCEPT A SHOUTED 'GO BACK THE WAY YOU CAME.' IN SO DOING, I CROSSED BACK ACROSS THE SAME RWY WHICH I NEVER SAW AGAIN IN THE DARK.
