Narrative:

The flight attendant reported smoke in the cabin and I opened the door and confirmed it. Captain declared an emergency and landed in sat. We evacuate/evacuationed on air carrier ramp. The smoke had dissipated before landing. Evacuate/evacuation was done as a normal deplaning procedure. No passenger were injured or suffered smoke inhalation. There was no cockpit warning or fire indication. The problem was seat 6A overhead cabin light socket. This was flight XXX dfw to lrd, 20 passenger, 3 crew. The aircraft was a saab 340B.

Title: SAAB 340 SMOKE IN CABIN. EVACED.

Narrative: THE FLT ATTENDANT RPTED SMOKE IN THE CABIN AND I OPENED THE DOOR AND CONFIRMED IT. CAPT DECLARED AN EMER AND LANDED IN SAT. WE EVACED ON ACR RAMP. THE SMOKE HAD DISSIPATED BEFORE LNDG.
