Left wing leading edge slat struck loading ramps on a trailer parked in a construction area close to a taxiway that should have been cleared of all equipment. This occurred at night in a dark, unlit area.

Title: A DC9 FLC FLYING CARGO INTO ILH TAXIES INTO A TRAILER RESULTING IN DAMAGE TO THE ACFT WING.
Narrative: L WING LEADING EDGE SLAT STRUCK LOADING RAMPS ON A TRAILER PARKED IN A CONSTRUCTION AREA CLOSE TO A TXWY THAT SHOULD HAVE BEEN CLRED OF ALL EQUIP. THIS OCCURRED AT NIGHT IN A DARK, UNLIT AREA.
