Narrative:

On layover, found #2 rear main tire and both nose gear tires showing cord. Not being very familiar with the differences between the 100, 250, 500 series L1011, I asked another mechanic, who was working with me, which one it was. He said it was a 250 series, so I ordered all the tires. I signed off the main gear. He signed off the nose gear. The aircraft made a flight from ZZZ to fll where the problem was discovered by air carrier mechanics.
