Narrative:

We were given clearance to follow preceding air carrier X B767 for quiet bridge visual to runway 28R and maintain 170 KTS to san mateo bridge. An air carrier Y B777 turns dogleg from the south, and air carrier Y is given clearance for runway 28L to maintain visual on air carrier X, an MD80. Air carrier Y accepted clearance and then proceeds to turn before us for the runway. Due to his early turn he can no longer maintain visual on us but we clearly have him in sight due to his large size and close proximity. We are forced to maneuver to remain aft of air carrier Y wingline. Winds were strong from the northwest (310 degrees/19 KTS) so I decided to proceed on to runway 28R for landing with minimum spacing between aircraft.

Title: MINIMUM SPACING ON QUIET BRIDGE VISUAL APCH TO SFO.

Narrative: WE WERE GIVEN CLRNC TO FOLLOW PRECEDING ACR X B767 FOR QUIET BRIDGE VISUAL TO RWY 28R AND MAINTAIN 170 KTS TO SAN MATEO BRIDGE. AN ACR Y B777 TURNS DOGLEG FROM THE S, AND ACR Y IS GIVEN CLRNC FOR RWY 28L TO MAINTAIN VISUAL ON ACR X, AN MD80. ACR Y ACCEPTED CLRNC AND THEN PROCEEDS TO TURN BEFORE US FOR THE RWY. DUE TO HIS EARLY TURN HE CAN NO LONGER MAINTAIN VISUAL ON US BUT WE CLRLY HAVE HIM IN SIGHT DUE TO HIS LARGE SIZE AND CLOSE PROX. WE ARE FORCED TO MANEUVER TO REMAIN AFT OF ACR Y WINGLINE. WINDS WERE STRONG FROM THE NW (310 DEGS/19 KTS) SO I DECIDED TO PROCEED ON TO RWY 28R FOR LNDG WITH MINIMUM SPACING BTWN ACFT.
