Narrative:
Through the instructor's lack of knowledge of local airport airspace and airport WX reporting via ZTL, IFR conditions were inadvertently encountered on takeoff from gsp. Upon encountering IFR, while VFR, instructor was issued an IFR clearance from ZTL which he canceled to land VFR at gsp.

Narrative: THROUGH THE INSTRUCTOR'S LACK OF KNOWLEDGE OF LCL ARPT AIRSPACE AND ARPT WX RPTING VIA ZTL, IFR CONDITIONS WERE INADVERTENTLY ENCOUNTERED ON TKOF FROM GSP. UPON ENCOUNTERING IFR, WHILE VFR, INSTRUCTOR WAS ISSUED AN IFR CLRNC FROM ZTL WHICH HE CANCELED TO LAND VFR AT GSP.
