Narrative:

I was in my VOR B approach to 7b2. Once below the clouds VFR, controller asked me to cancel in the air or on the ground. I replied that I had the field in sight and I wanted to cancel my IFR then and there and switch frequencys to 1200 code. I thought he agreed. When on the ground, I got a call from the supervisor. He did not know I had canceled. The controller was very busy. Next time I'll doublechk that I am canceled.

Narrative: I WAS IN MY VOR B APCH TO 7B2. ONCE BELOW THE CLOUDS VFR, CTLR ASKED ME TO CANCEL IN THE AIR OR ON THE GND.
