Narrative:

Cleared to FL330 and climbing through FL290, we called ATC requesting FL290 as a final altitude. Climbing through FL307, ATC cleared us to descend and maintain FL290. We descended. This apparently caused a conflict with another aircraft.

Title: FLC OF AN ACR MLG ASKED FOR AND RECEIVED A LOWER ENRTE ALT ASSIGNMENT AND THEN AFTER DSNDING TO THAT ALT, WERE INFORMED THAT THEIR DSCNT HAD CAUSED A CONFLICT.

Narrative: CLRED TO FL330 AND CLBING THROUGH FL290, WE CALLED ATC REQUESTING FL290 AS A FINAL ALT. CLBING THROUGH FL307, ATC CLRED US TO DSND AND MAINTAIN FL290. WE DSNDED. THIS APPARENTLY CAUSED A CONFLICT WITH ANOTHER ACFT.
