Narrative:

Just returned from recurrent training on B767. I was expecting training on the new pegasus FMC. I received none. Comments from the ground school and simulator instructors were that they had heard that pegasus does this and that but it appeared to me that they had not received any training either. Now on some rtes I can fly in manual and stumble through the rest of it but somehow I do not think that the FAA in a jump seat would be too impressed. I do not think that stuffing a revision in our mailbox and sending us a pile of appended messages is adequate preparation for the knowledge this piece of equipment requires. From the military, I know that accidents are seldom caused by one item but several contributing events. Let's not let the massive differences in the new pegasus FMC and the lack of training be a contributor. This was the last trip flown by this pilot before recurrent training. Has not flown since.
