Narrative:

On preflight inspection in cle, no aircraft damage was present. Upon postflt inspection in abe, damage to rear left strake was noticed. I believe the damage was caused when the aircraft was being marshalled out of the parking spot. The marshaller/ramper apparently left the gpu cart behind the left engine and he turned us immediately to the right out of our parking spot. I believe this was when the tail struck the gpu cart. (Damage to a gpu cart was later discovered in cle.) the first officer and myself felt and heard nothing as we were turning out of the parking spot which would have given us reason to stop. The ramper/marshaller also gave us no indication -- whether verbally or body language -- to indicate to us an abnormal situation.
