Narrative:
Aircraft departed smith mtn lake, va, airport en route to stanton, va. Approximately 40 mins into flight engine lost power and began to vibrate. Aircraft engine was shut down, and a forced landing was made at rockbridge vineyard, raphine, va. Aircraft received minimal cosmetic damage. As a licensed repairman for this aircraft, I estimate damages at less than $400. There were no injuries, and very little property damage '6 fence post, and 1 grapevine.' state police investigated the site and informed me they had been sent by FAA. Approximately 48 hours later, I disassembled aircraft and removed aircraft from rockbridge vineyard.
