Narrative:

Near miss on departure ogg. Heading 020 degrees, accelerating at 1500 FPM, maui departure cleared us direct ebber. Autoplt on, I heading selected 070 degrees with 25 degrees of bank, activated IAS hold at 240 KIAS and set up the INS direct ebber. Rolling out on 070 degrees, maui called traffic at 1 O'clock position, 3 mi 'has you in sight.' rapidly over the next 30 seconds, I saw a TA at 1 O'clock position, 2 1/2 mi and 500 ft above on TCASII, acquired the aircraft visually, began responding to a 'descend now' RA, succeeded in leveling my aircraft from a 3000 FPM climb rate, and saw a 400 series cessna pass to our right in a left bank, same altitude less than 1 mi. The RA ended and I resumed climb out to ebber. Maui departure reported 'traffic no factor.' the TCASII RA was not helpful being too late and much too radical a maneuver.
